Accounting in a Second System

WorkHorse syncs customers, invoices, and payments to QuickBooks Online, so the general ledger lives in a second product. FieldHub posts invoices, payments, deferred revenue, and job costs to its own double-entry general ledger — there is nothing to sync.

FieldHub did everything that we were looking for. It is the most well-rounded platform for an independent alarm company to operate their day-to-day business.

John Cioffi
Vice President at Bergen Protective Systems, Inc.

We chose FieldHub because it offered smarter, more streamlined ways to work—clearly built with our industry in mind. While I initially had concerns about the complexity of migrating from our previous platform, FieldHub absolutely wowed us. The migration was seamless, the support was exceptional, and the end result is a modern platform that positions us for scalable, efficient growth.

President at Habitec Security

“

FieldHub has been instrumental in helping us have more streamlined processes…so we can effectively have a smaller back office staff who can do more by leveraging FieldHub. The RMR model is the foundation of everything. As a 20-year veteran in the RMR industry, I appreciate how it’s more automated than other platforms we’ve used. FieldHub’s report generation is strong and improves monthly.

We had a very smooth migration, and your team has been great to work with. We just had our first financial meeting with real FieldHub reports, and it was awesome to actually TRUST the numbers that we saw without having to do additional side calculations. It’s great to have a business partner that listens to our concerns, and includes our suggestions in their future updates.

Adam Jacobs
President @ American Alarms

It automatically goes to the Warehouse Manager or Inventory Manager. He creates the PO with a click of a button, the inventory shows up, he checks it in with a click of a button, and then creates the bill. Night and day difference. Now that’s not all on my shoulders. You could probably train somebody in a month now on FieldHub. And if they don’t have knowledge of our industry, maybe a month and a half to two months, and they’re already in there taking phone calls, looking at billing. That was a huge change for us.

I would definitely recommend FieldHub to other security alarm companies. In fact, I already have.

Common Questions

Moving from WorkHorse FAQs

Is FieldHub a WorkHorse alternative? +
Yes. WorkHorse SCS covers CRM, RMR billing, dispatch, and central station integrations, and syncs accounting to QuickBooks Online. FieldHub covers the same workflow, with a fully offline field app, and adds warehouse inventory, job costing, and a native double-entry general ledger — all on one set of customer, site, and system records.
What does migrating from WorkHorse to FieldHub involve? +
Scripted migrations cover select legacy systems such as Sedona Office and Alarm Biller; other systems migrate through template-file imports or a self-service data loader — accounts, sites, contacts, active recurring revenue, material catalog, and notes. The sandbox pilot lets you load your own data and test the result before committing, and enhanced vs. standard data migrations explains how the scripted options differ if you also run a system that qualifies.
Will our recurring billing survive the move? +
Yes. Active recurring revenue comes across in the migration, and FieldHub then generates invoices on their own cycles with automatic proration and rate escalations. New recurring revenue can be created directly from a completed work order.
Do we still need QuickBooks Online? +
For most dealers, no. WorkHorse syncs to QuickBooks Online; FieldHub includes native general ledger accounting with AR, AP, and financial statements, so billing and the ledger are the same system. See full general ledger accounting and can FieldHub work with QuickBooks if you plan to keep it.
Which central stations does FieldHub integrate with? +
FieldHub connects to Affiliated Monitoring, Becklar/AvantGuard, and Rapid Response, so you can choose or change monitoring partners without changing software.
