Built on an Open Standard

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to business systems. FieldHub's server works with Claude, including claude.ai connectors, Claude Code, and Claude Desktop, with ChatGPT connectors, and with any MCP-compatible client. Sign in once with OAuth and the assistant is connected.

Ask Across the Whole Business

Nine business domains and forty object types are available. Which customers are more than 90 days overdue, and when did we last contact them? What is our total RMR across the book? Who is scheduled tomorrow, where, and for which customer? What's sitting uninvoiced right now? Which processes are stuck, and who's holding them? Every major object can be searched, filtered, fetched by ID, and aggregated by count, sum, or average, grouped by up to two dimensions and filtered by date.

Finance Answers Come From the Ledger

Balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, trial balance, chart of accounts, register balances. Drill down from any number to the entries behind it. Most field service software can't do this because the ledger lives in a separate accounting system. FieldHub's general ledger is native, so the assistant reads the same ledger your controller does.

It Can Act, With Your Confirmation

Write actions cover everyday work: apply a customer deposit across open invoices, generate a customer statement, log a collection note, create a draft receive document for a Purchase Order or mark one complete, start, comment on, advance, or reassign a flow, and send an email to a contact directly or from a saved template. Every write stops first. The assistant shows what it's about to do and waits for you to confirm. Everything else is read-only.

Your Permissions, Enforced

The assistant sees what you see: your roles, your business units, your record access, nothing more. Read and write are separate grants, so a read-only connection has no technical ability to modify data. Every request is logged with the user, application, and session, and changes appear in the normal activity log. MCP tokens and API tokens don't cross over; each is rejected at the other's endpoint.

No Invented Numbers

Anything the assistant can't compute from your data comes back as unavailable, not as an estimate. Answers are calculated from live FieldHub records. It works for the same reason job costing and deferred revenue work in FieldHub: one system, one ledger, nothing to reconcile between them.

Can the assistant change data in my FieldHub account? +
Only if the connection was granted write access, and only after you confirm each action. The assistant shows exactly what it is about to do and waits. A read-only connection has no technical ability to modify data.
Does the assistant see data I'm not allowed to see? +
No. It operates under your own roles, business units, and record access. Every request is logged with the user, application, and session, and any change appears in the normal activity log.
Can it answer accounting questions, or only operational ones? +
Both. Because FieldHub’s general ledger is native, the assistant can build a balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, or trial balance and drill from any line down to the supporting entries, journal transaction, and originating work order.
How is this different from the FieldHub API and ODBC access? +
The API and ODBC are for developers building integrations and reports. The MCP server is for people asking questions in plain language through an AI assistant, with no code and no configuration. Both respect the same permissions, and MCP tokens and API tokens are kept separate.
