Introducing the FieldHub MCP Server

FieldHub MCP server · Limited release · Version 10.2.15

You can now ask FieldHub questions in plain language and get answers computed from your live data.

Connect Claude to your FieldHub account through a standard OAuth sign-in. No API keys, no configuration. Then ask.

Built on an open standard, tuned for Claude

MCP — Model Context Protocol — is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to systems. We built and tested against Claude first, including claude.ai connectors, Claude Code, and Claude Desktop. ChatGPT connectors are verified, and any MCP-compatible client can connect.

FAQ

Can I use Anthropic Claude with FieldHub?

Yes. Claude was the first assistant FieldHub built and tested its MCP server against. It works with Claude on claude.ai through connectors, with Claude Desktop, and with Claude Code.

How it connects

  1. Add FieldHub as a connector in Claude.
  2. Sign in with your FieldHub credentials through a standard OAuth screen. There are no API keys to generate or paste and nothing to configure.
  3. Ask. Claude can search, filter, and aggregate across receivables, recurring billing, bookkeeping, scheduling, work orders, purchasing, and more, and build a balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, or trial balance and drill from any line to the entries behind it.

FAQ

Does FieldHub use AI?

Yes, but not in the way most software does. FieldHub does not bolt a chatbot onto the application or let a model guess at your numbers. Instead, FieldHub ships an MCP server that connects the AI assistant you already use, such as Anthropic Claude or ChatGPT, to your live FieldHub account.

What that means in practice

  • You ask in plain language. Which customers are more than 90 days overdue and when did we last contact them? What is our total RMR? What is sitting uninvoiced right now? Who is scheduled tomorrow and where?
  • The answers are computed, not generated. Every figure comes from live FieldHub records and the native general ledger, the same one your controller uses. Anything the assistant cannot compute from your data comes back as unavailable, never as an estimate.
  • It can act, with your confirmation. Apply a deposit across open invoices, generate a statement, log a collection note, advance a workflow, or email a contact. Every write stops and shows you what it is about to do first. Everything else is read-only.
  • It only sees what you see. The assistant runs under your own roles, business units, and record access. Every request is logged and changes appear in the normal activity log.

FAQ

What is the difference between credit card merchant service flat fee pricing and interchange plus pricing, and why would I want to choose one over the other?

FieldHub supports a couple of merchant service processors, giving you some choice in the processor and the type of pricing plan you choose. Key to that decision is your selection of flat fee pricing and interchange plus pricing.

Flat fee pricing charges the same percentage and per-transaction fee on every card payment, regardless of the card type used. Whether your customer pays with a basic debit card or a premium rewards credit card, you pay the same rate. This model offers simplicity and predictable billing, making monthly statements easier to understand and budgeting more straightforward.

FieldHub Announces Integration with fireNspec, Connecting Inspections to Business Operations

FieldHub, the all-in-one cloud platform for security, fire, and low-voltage integrators, is pleased to announce a new integration with fireNspec, the inspection management platform built for fire and life safety companies. The integration links inspection work to the rest of the business, so a customer or site entered in one system no longer has to be entered again in the other.

Most integrators run inspections and the business itself on different tools. The account lives in one place, the inspection lives in another, and staff spend time keying the same details into both and checking two systems to answer one question.

Why We Built FieldHub as an All-in-One Platform: The Hidden Cost of Software Sync

The Sync Problem is (Actually) Worse Than You Think

When Accounting Goes Sideways

Let’s talk about what happens when your field service platform and accounting software decide they’re not on speaking terms anymore. We’ve heard horror stories from the field: double-billing that damages customer relationships, sync failures that require hours of manual data entry, and that sinking feeling when you realize last week’s invoices never made it to your accounting system.

Simpler Monitoring, Smarter Operations: FieldHub Expands with Becklar Monitoring (AvantGuard)

February 1, 2025

FieldHub has expanded its monitoring ecosystem with a new integration to Becklar Monitoring (AvantGuard), giving dealers a simpler, more reliable way to manage monitored accounts without leaving FieldHub. Because monitoring data now lives alongside CRM, field service, inventory, and accounting, teams gain a single source of truth that reduces manual work and keeps operations and billing in lockstep. With the Becklar Monitoring integration, dealers can streamline central-station workflows and reduce duplicate data entry by handling key monitoring actions from the same system they use to sell, schedule, install, and invoice. FieldHub’s plug-in framework ensures subscriber account details remain connected to jobs, contracts, and RMR—keeping operations aligned end-to-end.
