FieldHub Launches iOS Mobile Application for Field Technician Management

FieldHub has launched its Apple iOS application for field technicians. This application complements FieldHub’s existing Android application, providing the same suite of functionality to support field operations.

FieldHub is an all-in-one cloud platform for security installers’ business operations. It provides a single system to manage the business from proposal to project, including field service management, inventory, recurring/deferred revenue management, and full accounting.

The FieldHub mobile application connects field technicians to the core business workflow. Field technicians access their schedule through the mobile app, tracking work and travel time, materials installed, checklists, customer approvals, material requests, photos, and other site visit information.

‍ Information collected from the mobile application directly feeds job costing, payroll, customer billing, and other system functions.

FieldHub’s Android application has been in use since 2017 and has been effective in improving security installers’ field management. The development of the iOS counterpart broadens FieldHub’s market to include Apple-only or “bring your own device” operations. The application works on iPhones and iPads and is developed natively for superior performance.    

“While it is a big investment to build separate native mobile applications from the ground up on Android and iOS, we know that the ability for field technicians to easily and consistently use the application is key to accurate reporting and positive user experience,” according to Miles Fawcett, FieldHub’s CEO.
